@Ben Pearl; Do you know how to pronounce the word "Sky"? If you did you would know that in this case and in some others AS WELL, Y is considered a VOWEL! Go ask any grammar teacher before you open your big mouth and before you pretend to be the brain in here.
lmfao people. Y is sometimes a vowel. everyone knows that, but that's not the issue at hand. this word is pronounced "crooth" like "tooth", so in this case, W is a vowel. GASP SHOCKING. but y and w are both occasionally vowels. like in the word "awesome" and the first w in "awkward" (the second w is a consonant) but lol like anon said, crwth isn't even english.
For that matter, anonymous, R and L are also vowels occasionally. Even in English. It is impossible to pronounce a word that has absolutely no vowels; consonants only have sound BECAUSE of vowels.

So 'rhythm' doesn't count then, does it?
i was just bout to say rhythm was a non vowel word aswell BUT apparently to some people 'Y' is considered a vowel as well??? soo idk! weiirrd lol
Y is a semivowel which means it is sometimes a consonant and sometimes a vowel.
In the word rhythm it is a vowel, NOT a consonant.
You're a fucking idiot.
Here's some primary school english for ya: the vowels are A, E, I, O and U.
Y is a consonant.
"Sky" has no vowels in, neither does "rhythm", because Y is a consonant.
number one, y is SOMETIMES a vowel, remember??? a,e,i,o,u and SOMETIMES y. and that celtic stuff has another language. its called gaelic. dumbnut
